1848 come again!

Neptune is in Pisces. Uranus is in Aries. When was the last time in history this combination of astrological forces appeared? 1848. 1848 stands out in the annals of History as “the Year of the Revolutions.”  It began in France, the hotbed of Revolutions since the late 18th century, spread to Germany, and then, without any significant cooperation between nations, spread like wildfire throughout Europe and Latin America, ultimately affecting 50 countries. Reactionary forces crushed the revolts and in many instances those in power consequently exercised an even tighter control over the people. Nevertheless, the momentum for the 20th century democratic advances, such as universal suffrage, grew and the seed for the 20th century horrific wars and rebellions was sown. Thousands fled to the United States which had just ended the Mexican-American War in February of 1848. Mexico ceded half its territory to the US. 90% of European immigrants went to Northern States. Gold was discovered in 1848 and the Gold Rush began that year! All these happenings greatly affected the outcome of the Civil War which was right around the corner!

Will Scotland secede from the United Kingdom? Quebec from Canada? Mexico is a hotbed right now. In the Middle East dictatorships topple, but replacing them with stable governments is challenging. The series of uprisings in Arab countries in 2012 has been compared to Europe in 1848 and rightly so!

With Pluto exactly square Uranus, exposure is happening explosively and dramatically across the board. The potential for earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters remains high. Emotions are like a powder keg and quickly escalate. Misunderstandings are rampant as is misinformation. Perhaps today’s best news is the awakening of people around the globe.

Freedom must be defended! Revolutionary sentiments, nevertheless, easily get out of control, leading to chaos!

Our laws need to be in sync with the principles of Liberty. Life must be protected. But let us do so soberly and judiciously. Let us study Cosmic Cycles and learn well the lessons of History!
